Back on the Farm – What is it?

These are Corn Husk Geese from the 1930s 0r 1940s. Estimated Retail Value $38.  Many children’s toys, dolls, farm animals and bears were made from farm by-products in the 1830’s thru the 1930’s.  Corn husks and corn cobs were favorites to make home made toys with on the east coast.  These corn husk geese follow the same principle as the corn husk dolls which are still being made especially in North Carolina. Do you remember playing with corn husk doll or remember anyone in your family making things with corn husks?  Call  Holly Hill Antiques 804-695-1146 or call the comments line at GLO-Clips and tell us your story..
