This is a 1 Quart Oil Bottle with cap from the 20s-50s. Estimated Retail Value is $38.  I’ll bet many of you remember these. In the “old days”, gas stations would buy bulk oil and fill their own bottles.  You would buy what you needed and filled up at the station or you could take them home to use on the farm.   There was no deposit because it wasn’t needed as the bottles were always returned.  Try that today.  For me this still makes sense because we don’t waste so many cans nor have so much trash.  These bottles are very collectible especially if they are dated.    Has anyone ever used one of these or have an interesting story - Give us a call at Holly Hill Farm Antiques 695-1146 or call the comments line at GLO-Clips.
