Soap
Saver
This
is a Soap Saver from the 20s
and 30s. Estimated Retail Value is
$25 - $30.
Years ago people could not buy soap liquids or power
to do the dishes or laundry from the store.
In the old days people made their own lye soap and when they needed
some sudsy water they would break of some, put it in the saver and swish
it about until the water was sudsy. Also,
any left over soap could be used in the saver so that nothing went to
waste. Hey – does anyone
remember using one of these? Have
an interesting story about the depression - Give us a call at Holly Hill
Farm Antiques 695-1146 or call the comments line at GLO-Clips.
